Grant Forrest (University of San Diego)

Grant was the Scottish Boys Champion when he signed with ProDreamUSA in 2010, opting for the University of San Diego under the guidance of coach Tim Mickelson (brother of Phil) when he moved to the States in 2012.

It proved to be a great decision with Grant going on to win three big college tournaments and numerous personal accolades, as well as qualifying for the 2013 Open Championship at Muirfield in his freshman year. He achieved selection for the European team that defeated the USA in the Palmer Cup, the college equivalent of the Ryder Cup. He starred for GB&I in the successful Walker Cup team of 2015 at Royal Lytham and individual wins also followed, including the prestigious St Andrew Links Trophy and the Scottish Amateur Championship title at Royal Dornoch whilst narrowly missing out in the final of the British Amateur Championship at the end of his final year. Grant was also part of the Scotland team which clinched back-to-back European Amateur Team Championship wins in 2015 and ’16.
After turning professional in 2016, he achieved his dream of earning his European Tour card after finishing inside the 8 th in the 2018 Challenge Tour rankings and is currently inside the top 45 of the Race to Dubai following an impressive start to his 2020 campaign, amassing four top-10 placings in the last two years.
