#PLAYERS: MANSELL CELEBRATES EUROPEAN TOUR PROMOTION IN MAIDEN SEASON

Former ProDreamUSA client Richard Mansell was yesterday celebrating a dream promotion to the European Tour after clinching a top-5 finish in the Challenge Tour's Race to Mallorca rankings in his debut season on the second tier tour.

A share of 21st place in the Challenge Tour Grand Final at T-Golf & Country Club in Mallorca meant that the 25-year-old sealed 4th place in the standings with 84,534.2 points from 10 events in the truncated season, with the leading five players gaining playing opportunities on the main tour for 2021. With the top 15 players normally exempt for European Tour status, the qualification criteria was changed this year given the reduced number of events, but Mansell's two runner-up finishes in the recent Andalucia Challenge and Euram Bank Open in July catapulted the Englishman to the required top five.

Having only graduated in 2017, it's been a quick rise to prominence for the man who starred in the GB&I Palmer Cup side. He earned promotion to the Challenge Tour via a second place finish in the EuroPro Tour rankings, and has continued to make rapid progress since.

He was a star for the Nova Southeastern University Sharks men's golf team throughout his time in the States, helping them to the NCAA D2 Championship title in 2015. Two years later in his senior year, he was Named NCAA First-Team All-American, First Team All-Sunshine State Conference First and All-South Region.

Now part of the Modest Golf Management stable which boasts the likes of Tyrell Hatton and Leone Maguire, Richard has climbed up to 249 in the official world golf rankings and will certainly be a name to keep an eye on when he lines up against the best players in the world on the European Tour next season.

Congratulations on a fantastic achievement Richard! #TeamProDream
