September is always a busy month at ProDreamUSA. We are working towards our next WAGR event at the fantastic Longniddry Golf Club on Scotland's Golf Coast. We are finalising placements for some of our 2023 and 2024 clients.
And we are also watching keenly our players who have recently began their college golf journeys.
It's fair to say that we've been delighted to see so many fantastic initial performances and we're thrilled that so many of our clients and their parents are keeping in touch and sending us regular updates.
Unsurprisingly, England's Lottie Woad from Farnham golf Club leads the way. Lottie had a fantastic summer, taking the prestigious R&A Girls Amateur Championship at Carnoustie days before boarding her flight to Florida and meet up with her FSU Seminole's team.
She followed that with another fantastic performance in her second event, the Oklahome University Shooner Fall Classic with rounds of 65, 71 and 69 to take 8th place and helping FSU to the team win. Notably, fellow ProDreamUSA client and University of Louiseville Sophomore Carmen Griffiths finished T3 (68, 65, 69).
Elsewhere, Irishman Louis Galvin, a 16 year old who elected to enrol early at #1 ranked NJCAA National Champions Hutchinson College, fired rounds of 79, 71 and 71 to help the Blue Dragons take second place in the Proal Invitational. Galvin is a terrific talent and will be one of the youngest players playing College Golf this year - we're very much looking forward to watching his progress over the next 4 years!
In Virginia, Wales internationalist and ProDreamUSA client Dewi John helped the Charleston Southern Men's Golf team to a stunning success at the VCU Shootout.
The Odessa College Women's team with 4 ProDreamUSA clients won the Waco River Classic. Rosanna Halls and Claudia Alnajim tied for 2nd on 146, 2 shots clear of Ailsa Brannock in 4th with Zara Houghton finishing a credible 9th place on 150. Fantastic scoring girls!
And finally, we were particularly delighted to see England's Tilly Garfoot getting off to a great start in her college career at the University of Memphis.
Tilly recorded a 1 under par total of 215 (71, 72, 72) for 8th place in the Lady Paladin invitational. This was the third straight tournament for Tilly and it's so encouraging to see her raising her game to meet the demands of a rigorous College Golf schedule.
